Here at Braille Options we are developing teaching aids to assist teachers, carers and parents of visually impaired children and others needing or wanting to learn braille in Australia.
The most important of course is the Alphabet page, which also incorporates the numbers.
Secondly, we have available a selection of flash cards in the form of coasters with simple tactile objects with the appropriate braille translations. These are available in packs of 10 with designs of your choosing from our catalogue. Additional designs will be incorporated as time progresses and we have a demand for particular objects.
Thirdly we have an A5 size binder with removable pages incorporating a choice of 6 individual pages. These can include the alphabet as page 1 if desired. Other pages have 4 designs per page. See our catalogue of pages.
We also have pages with common wayfinding symbols & translations for everyday practicality.
These learning aids have been physically assessed by Vision Australia (Brisbane)and rated very highly.
All selections are made to order with new designs available on request where possible.
